MIAA: How Industrial IoT enables efficiency in SME Manufacturing.
PETALING: Over 60 people joined the first ever talk organised by Malaysia Industrial Automation Association (MIAA) via zoom from 8.00pm to 9.00pm on 12 October 2021 to learn about “How industrial IoT enables efficiency in SME Manufacturing. ” MIAA also with their co-sponsor of the event, Jess Technology invited Mr McCoy Chung as the speaker to share about this topic.
“ I was glad that this webinar was joined by more than 60 participants made up of manufacturers, industrial players, purchasers and and also engineers. The industrial internet of things (IIoT) or Industry 4.0, IIoT is not in the past or the future. It’s the present.” says Nick Cheng, the President of MIAA. “ I believe that this sharing would benefits our participants in a way that giving them an idea to save cost and increase productivity thru IoT”
Representatives of Jess Technology, Ms Mythri Ng also mentioned that “I see value in this event because during this pandemic outbreak, I am sure we are facing some issues like not enough man power, machine maker/supplier restriction and so on. This topic allows us to explore more on the latest technology to enhance the production efficiency.”

Mr McCoy is Business Development Manager, under ABB Machine and Factory Automation. He has been working in machine automation and process automation for the past 10 years. Currently Mr. McCoy works mainly for machine control industries and has extensive knowledge in PLC control, motion control, robotics integration, industrial IoT and edge controller solutions.
